Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions about Seattle party bus rentals.
How much does a party bus rental cost in Seattle? +
Seattle Party Bus rentals start at $225 per hour for our 26-passenger bus and scale up by bus size and day of week. Most weekend bookings run $200-$300/hr. Add 20% driver gratuity, fuel surcharge, and WA state sales tax. A typical 5-hour Saturday booking runs $1,200-$1,800 total. Call (206) 914-3560 for a quote tailored to your event.
How many people fit on a Seattle party bus? +
Fun Way To Go runs 26 to 34 passenger luxury party buses. The 26-passenger bus is our most-booked size — perfect for groups of 18-24 with elbow room for dancing. The 34-passenger bus is ideal for weddings, large birthdays, and corporate outings. For groups over 34, we coordinate multiple buses.
Can you bring your own alcohol (BYOB) on a Seattle party bus? +
Yes — BYOB is welcome for events with all adults 21 and over. The bus has built-in cooler space for drinks and ice. Washington State may require a banquet permit depending on how you're serving alcohol on board — we explain the rules at booking and link to our BYOB guide. Under-21 events (prom, kids parties) are strictly alcohol-free.
How far in advance should I book a Seattle party bus? +
Weddings and proms: 8 to 16 weeks ahead. Bachelor or bachelorette parties: 3 to 8 weeks (Saturdays in summer fill first). Wine tours, birthdays, and corporate events: 2 to 4 weeks. New Year's Eve: book by October. Last-minute bookings sometimes available — call to check.
What cities and areas does Fun Way To Go serve? +
We serve the entire greater Puget Sound — Seattle, Bellevue, Tacoma, Everett, Kirkland, Redmond, Mercer Island, Issaquah, Burien, Federal Way, Tukwila, Des Moines, Auburn, West Seattle, Renton, Kent, Woodinville, plus 50+ other cities across King, Pierce, and Snohomish counties. See full service area on our locations page.
Are your party bus drivers CDL-certified and background-checked? +
Yes. Every Fun Way To Go chauffeur holds a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with passenger endorsement, has passed federal background and drug-screen checks, and operates under full commercial liability insurance. Driver standards are the foundation of every booking — your group's safety always comes first.
How do I know a party bus company is licensed, insured, and safe? +
Before booking any party bus in Washington — including us — ask three things. (1) Are you a licensed charter carrier? Passenger charter and excursion companies must hold an active certificate from the Washington Utilities and Transportation Commission (UTC) under state law (RCW 81.70). (2) Do your drivers hold a CDL with a Passenger (P) endorsement and take part in a DOT drug-and-alcohol testing program? A regular driver's license is not enough to legally carry a busload of people. (3) Do you carry commercial liability insurance and file it with the state? Washington requires up to $5 million in coverage for buses seating 16 or more. You can verify any carrier's federal safety record for free on the FMCSA SAFER Company Snapshot. Rock-bottom quotes, cash-only or personal-Venmo requests, and no proof of authority are red flags for an unlicensed, uninsured operator — which leaves you and your guests carrying the risk. Fun Way To Go is a fully licensed, UTC-regulated, USDOT-registered, and fully insured operator.
What is included in the party bus rental price? +
Every booking includes a CDL-certified chauffeur, fuel, commercial insurance, leather lounge seating, premium Bluetooth sound system, LED lighting, climate control, cooler space, and tinted privacy windows. Most buses include karaoke and dance poles. Listed price covers the bus and driver; gratuity, fuel surcharge, and WA sales tax are added at checkout.
Do you need a Washington banquet permit to serve alcohol on the bus? +
Sometimes. If you're just bringing your own drinks for individual consumption, no permit is typically required. If you're serving alcohol from a common source to multiple guests (open bar style), a Washington State Banquet Permit may be required ($10, available online). Read our full BYOB guide on the blog for details.
Do your party buses have Bluetooth, TVs, and LED lighting? +
Yes. All buses feature premium Bluetooth sound systems (connect any phone), multi-color LED party lighting (custom colors for themed events), TV screens, and most include karaoke systems with dual screens and wireless microphones. The 30-passenger Club Eleven is our most party-feature-rich bus.
How do I get a quote for a Seattle party bus rental? +
Call (206) 914-3560 — we usually quote within 30 minutes during business hours and always within 24 hours. You can also use the reservation form on our website. We'll ask about event date, pickup/dropoff locations, group size, and event type to give you an accurate quote.
